The University of Delaware’s Classic Upward Bound is
a federally funded program that prepares students for college
by providing tutoring and academic support to 54 eligible
students throughout the year.
During
the academic year, students meet weekly in the evening for
tutoring, and one Saturday a month for a variety of academic
workshops.
The residential summer program consists
of five weeks of intensive coursework in mathematics (through calculus), laboratory science, foreign language, and English composition/literature.
The students live on the UD campus during
the week and are supervised by college students and program staff.
Our emphasis is on building a supportive
community emphasizing academic achievement and responsibility.
In addition, there are opportunities for cultural, social
activities, and FUN!
High school students who are finishing their 9th
