Many UD Upward Bound participants have gone on to accomplish
great things in their chosen fields. There are many who have
gone on to be doctors, lawyers, teachers and even talk show
hosts. Dr. Bertice Berry, a nationally syndicated talk show
host, author, award-winning lecturer, and stand-up comedian
was a UD Upward Bound participant and has been honored on
the national level as a TRIO Achiever. "Let me just say
this: "If there were no Upward Bound Program, there would
be no Dr. Bertice Berry." TRIO programs like Upward Bound
can and do make a difference in the lives of many students.
